Arise (verb)

1. To come into existence or occur.
2. To get up from a lying, sitting, or kneeling position.
3. To originate or come into being.
4. To move upward or appear.

Origin:

Old english ārīsan, ārīsian, from ā- (expressing origin) + rīsan "rise".

Examples:
