Asocial (adjective)

Not interested in or not involved in social activities or relationships.

Origin:

Late 19th century: from german asozial, from a- (without) + sozial "social".

Examples:

1. The new employee was seen as asocial, as he never participated in office gatherings.
2. As a child, he was considered asocial because of his preference for solitary activities.
3. The asocial behavior of the defendant raised suspicions among the authorities.
4. The asocial cat preferred to stay in its own territory and avoid contact with other cats.
5. Some people are just naturally asocial and are content with their own company.
