Assort (verb)

1. Arrange or classify (a number of things) according to type or in groups.
2. Match or harmonize well with (something).

Origin:

Early 17th century: from french assortir, from assortir "to match", from sortir "to go out".

Examples:

1. The store assort the clothes by colors.
2. The teacher assorted the students into groups.
3. The company assort their products by category.
4. The outfit assort well with the accessories.
