Asymptomatic (adjective)

Not having or showing any symptoms of a disease or condition.

Origin:

From greek ἀ- (a-), meaning "not" and σύμπτωμα (sýmptōma), meaning "a falling together, a symptom".

Examples:

  1. The patient was asymptomatic but tested positive for the virus.
  2. Asymptomatic carriers can still spread the disease.
  3. The cancer was asymptomatic until it was in advanced stages.
