Biofeedback

- A technique in which an individual is provided with information about their physiological processes, such as brain waves or muscle tension, in order to gain control over them.
- A method of training in which an individual can learn to control certain physiological functions by receiving visual or auditory feedback about these functions.
Origin:
1970s: from bio- "life" + feedback.
