Blackball (verb)

To vote against the admission of a candidate to a club or organization by placing a black ball in a ballot box.

Origin:

From black + ball, from the practice of voting by placing black or white balls in a box.

Examples:

2. The candidate was blackballed from the organization due to lack of support.
3. The member was blackballed from the society because of his unethical actions.
