Chopstick (noun)

A thin, pointed stick of wood, bamboo, plastic, or metal, used in pairs as an eating utensil in China, Japan, Korea, and other countries in the Far East, especially for picking up small pieces of food.

Origin:

From chinese (mandarin) kuàizi, from kuài ("quick, fast") + zi ("child; son"), referring to the ease and speed with which one can pick up food with chopsticks.
