Citronella (noun)

An essential oil obtained from the leaves and stems of various species of lemongrass, used as a insect repellent and in perfumes and soaps.

Origin:

Mid 19th century: from italian citronella, diminutive of citrone "lemon", from latin citrus "citron tree".
