Clop (verb)

Make a sound of a horse's hooves striking the ground, or similar noise.

Origin:

Possibly from the middle english word "cloppen" , of imitative origin.

Examples:

1. The horse clopped down the street.
2. She clopped her heels on the pavement.
3. The sound of the horse's clop could be heard in the distance.
4. The clop of the hooves on the cobblestone street was loud.
5. The pony clopped around the ring, ridden by a young girl.
