Deodorize (verb)

1. To remove or neutralize unpleasant odors.
2. To clean or freshen something by removing bad smell.

Origin:

Early 20th century: from de- (expressing reversal) + odor + -ize.

Examples:

1. The room was deodorized with a spray of lemon.
2. The garbage was deodorized before it was taken away.
3. The fridge was deodorized with baking soda.
4. The laundry detergent is specially formulated to deodorize clothes.
