Emasculate
(verb)
1. to castrate a male animal, 2. to weaken or weaken or destroy the masculinity or vigor of a person or thing.
Origin:
Early 17th century: from latin emasculat- "castrated", from the verb emasculare, from e- (variant of ex-) "out" + masculus "male".
Examples:
- Farmers emasculate male pigs to prevent boar taint.
- The new policy emasculated the company's competitiveness.
- Emasculating a man means to take away his masculinity.
