Existent (adjective)

1. Existing in fact; having reality or being alive.
2. Able to be perceived or experienced.

Origin:

Early 17th century: from latin existent- "standing out, existing", from the verb exsistere (see exist).

Examples:

1. The species was considered to be existent until it was reclassified as extinct.
2. The city's existent infrastructure was not able to support the population growth.
3. The existent evidence supports the theory.
4. The existent problem needs to be addressed.
5. The existent conditions made it impossible to continue the project.
