Hipster (noun)

A person who follows the latest trends and fashions, especially those regarded as being outside the cultural mainstream.

Origin:

The term "hipster" originated in the 1940s, used to describe aficionados of jazz, who were considered "hip" or in the know. later it was used to describe countercultural youth in general. in the 2000s, the term was used to describe young, urban middle-class adults who were into alternative lifestyles, music, fashion, etc.
