Jovian (adjective)

1. Of, or relating to the planet Jupiter.
2. Resembling or characteristic of Jupiter, the Roman god of the sky and thunder.
3. Having a dignified and impressive appearance or manner.

Origin:

The word jovian comes from the latin word "jovianus" which is derived from the name of the roman god jupiter (jove in latin). jupiter was considered the ruler of the heavens and was associated with the planet jupiter.

2. The Jovian planets are much larger than the terrestrial planets.
