Kopeck (noun)

A former monetary unit of Russia and certain other countries of the former Soviet Union, equal to one hundredth of a rouble.

Origin:

Russian kopeyka, from old east slavic kopějka, from kopě head.

Examples:

1. I can't believe this candy bar costs 10 kopecks!
2. I'm short a few kopecks for the bus fare.
3. I remember when a kopeck was worth something.
4. I received a kopeck as a change from my purchase.
5. I saved all my kopecks to buy a new toy.
