Misspell (verb)

To spell a word incorrectly.

Origin:

Derived from the combination of the prefix "mis" meaning "wrong" and the word "spell" meaning "to write or name the letters of a word in the correct order".

Examples:

  1. I missed the spelling of the word "receipt" and wrote "recipt".
