A man with well-developed muscles, especially one who performs feats of strength for entertainment or sport.

Origin:

From the words "muscle" meaning "bodily tissue composed of cells or fibers, the contractile properties of which produce movement" and "man" meaning "an adult male human", it was coined in the late 19th century.
