Naughty (adjective)

Badly behaved; disobedient.

Origin:

From middle english naughte, from old english nawiht ("nothing, not at all") + -y, from proto-germanic *na-wihtijaz ("nothing"), from *na- ("not") + *wihtijaz ("thing"), equivalent to nought + -y.
