- Not on any further occasion; no longer.
Origin:
From never + more, it is often used to indicate that something will never happen again.
Examples:
- He swore that he would nevermore set foot in that city.
- It was clear that the relationship was over and they would nevermore be together.
- The company has decided to close down the factory and it will nevermore operate.
- He vowed that he would nevermore drink again after that night.
