Nonallergic (adjective)

Not having or showing an allergy or hypersensitivity to a particular substance.

Origin:

Derived from the prefix "non-" meaning "not" or "without" and "allergic" meaning susceptible to an allergic reaction.

Examples:

1. Many people are nonallergic to pollen and can enjoy the spring flowers without suffering from hay fever.
2. The patient was found to be nonallergic to the medication and able to tolerate it well.
3. A nonallergic rhinitis is a condition in which a person experiences symptoms similar to those of hay fever, but without the presence of allergies.
4. The new product was developed for nonallergic people.
5. Nonallergic people can eat peanuts without any problem, but for some people peanuts can cause severe allergic reactions.
