Many times; frequently.

Origin:

Old english oft, of old, from proto-germanic *ufta- (compare old saxon oft, old frisian ofte, dutch vaak, german oft), from pie *h1epót- (compare greek hépeti often, latin aptus fit, apt). the original sense was "suitably, fittingly", also "frequently".
