Overeat (verb)

To eat an excessive amount of food.

Origin:

From the old english word "ofēatan" which means "to eat too much".

Examples:

1. John felt guilty for overeating at the buffet.
2. She had to force herself to stop overeating.
3. He had a bad habit of overeating when he was stressed.
4. Overeating can lead to health problems such as obesity.
5. I try not to overeat at parties because I don't want to feel sick later.
