Overexcite

To excite or stimulate to an excessive degree.
Origin:
Over- + excite, from latin excitare to rouse, stir up, from ex- + citare to set in motion.
Examples:
- The news of the promotion overexcited the employee, and he couldn't focus on his work.
- The partygoers were overexcited and were making too much noise.
- The child's parents were worried that the toy would overexcite him and make him hyper.
- The images from the horror movie overexcited the audience and they were on the edge of their seats.
