Palindrome (noun)

A word, phrase, number, or other sequence of characters which reads the same backward or forward.

Origin:

From greek palin dromein (to run back again), from palin (again) + dromein (to run).

Examples:

1. The word "level" is a palindrome.
2. The number "1001" is a palindrome.
3. The phrase "Madam, I"m Adam" is a palindrome.
4. Palindromic sentences are interesting linguistic curiosities.
