Existing in or capable of assuming many forms or shapes; having the ability to change shape.

Origin:

From greek polys (many) + morphē (shape or form).

Examples:

1. The organism had a polymorphous ability to adapt to different environments.
2. The protein is polymorphous and can assume different shapes.
3. The virus is polymorphous, making it difficult to detect and treat.
4. The polymorphous nature of the creature made it difficult to classify.
