Reacquaint (verb)

To become familiar with someone or something again, especially after a period of time.

Origin:

Re- + obsolete acquainten "to make known", from old french aquaindre, from latin cognoscere "get to know".

Examples:

1. He was looking forward to reacquainting himself with his old neighborhood.
2. She was excited to reacquaint herself with her former colleagues.
3. We reacquainted ourselves with the city after being away for so long.
4. They reacquainted themselves with the culture and customs of their ancestors.
