To bury something or someone again, especially after a period of time or after an exhumation.
Origin:
Late 16th century: from re- + bury.
Examples:
- The remains were reinterred in the family plot.
- The bones were reburied after being discovered during construction.
- The artifacts were reburied in order to protect them from looting.
- The village decided to rebury their ancestors in a new cemetery.
