Remaster

To create a new master recording of an existing musical work or soundtrack, usually with improved sound quality and/or with additional or different features.
Origin:
Derived from the prefix 're-' meaning again, and the word 'master' meaning to bring to the highest degree of skill or mastery. first recorded usage was in the mid 19th century.
Examples:
- The remastered version of the album features previously unreleased tracks.
- The film's sound was remastered to match the latest technology.
- The old recordings were remastered to bring out the best in the sound quality.
- The remastered DVD includes an alternate ending and deleted scenes.
- The remastered version of the classic novel was published for its 50th anniversary.
