Reupholster

To replace the upholstery on a piece of furniture.
Origin:
Formed by combining "re-" meaning "again" and "upholster" meaning "to furnish or cover with padding, springs, webbing, and fabric or leather", which comes from the old english "up + holdan" meaning "to hold up".
Examples:
- The chair needs to be reupholstered because the fabric is worn out.
- Reupholstering the couch will give it a fresh new look.
- The cost of reupholstering the antique chair was quite high.
- Reupholstering the dining room chairs was a DIY project.
- The car seats had to be reupholstered due to a tear in the fabric.
