Settee

A long bench or sofa with a back and usually arms, used for seating several people.
Origin:
From the french word "sette" which means "long chair" and the old english word "setl" which means "seat".
Examples:
- I found an old settee at a garage sale and decided to refurbish it.
- The settee in the living room is comfortable but it's not very stylish.
- I was so tired that I fell asleep on the settee while watching TV.
- The settee in the hallway was the perfect spot for the kids to wait for the school bus.
- The new settee was too big for the room and had to be returned.
