1. In or after a short time; in a little while; before long.
2. Promptly or quickly, especially when surprising or unexpected things happen.
3. Happening or appearing early; in the near future.

Origin:

Old english sōna, of germanic origin; related to dutch zo ongeveer ‘almost’ and german so etwa ‘about that’.
