Tailbone (noun)

The triangular bone at the base of the spine, also called the coccyx.

Origin:

From the old english word "tægel" meaning "tail" and "bona" meaning "bone".

Examples:

3. The tailbone is not a functional bone, it serves as an attachment point for muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
