Tatty (adjective)

Shabby or shoddy, in poor condition, showing signs of wear and tear, or neglect.

Origin:

The word tatty comes from the scottish word "tatie" meaning "tattered".

Examples:

1. The tatty old couch had seen better days, it was covered in stains and had holes in the cushions.
2. The tatty curtains were hanging off the rods, they needed to be replaced.
3. He was wearing a tatty old suit, it was clearly well-worn.
