Tatty (adjective)

Shabby or shoddy, in poor condition, showing signs of wear and tear, or neglect.

Origin:

The word tatty comes from the scottish word "tatie" meaning "tattered".

Examples:

  2. The tatty curtains were hanging off the rods, they needed to be replaced.
  3. He was wearing a tatty old suit, it was clearly well-worn.
