Tedious (adjective)

  1. Extremely boring and therefore difficult to tolerate over an extended period of time.
  2. Taking a long time and lacking interest; dull.

Origin:

Late 16th century (in the sense "wearisome, fatiguing"): from latin taediosus, from taedium (see tedium).
