Unzip (verb)

To open a zipper or to extract the contents from a zipped file.

Origin:

From un- (reverse of) + zip (to open a zipper).

Examples:

1. She unzipped her jacket.
2. He unzipped the file and extracted the contents.
3. I need to unzip this file to access the documents inside.
4. The students unzipped their bags and took out their books.
5. She unzipped the dress and tried it on.
