Domineer (verb)

To behave in a bullying or overbearing manner towards (someone).

Origin:

Mid 16th century: from latin dominari "to rule", from dominus "lord".

Examples:

1. He domineered over his employees and expected them to do as he said.
2. She domineered over her children and didn't allow them to make their own decisions.
3. He domineered over the meeting and didn't allow anyone else to speak.
4. She domineered over her friends and always had to have the last word.
5. He domineered over the conversation and didn't let anyone else speak.
