High-five (verb)

  1. To slap the palm of one's hand against that of another person as a sign of agreement or congratulations.
  2. To acknowledge or celebrate something by slapping the palm of one's hand against that of another person.

Origin:

1970s: high five, apparently a humorous alteration of "give me five", i.e. "slap me five" (referring to the five fingers of the hand).
