Nosh (verb)

To eat small amounts of food between meals, especially snacks that are not considered to be full meals.

Origin:

From yiddish נאַשן‎ (nashn), from middle high german naschen.

Examples:

  3. She likes to nosh on cheese and crackers in the evening.
  4. I don't have time for a full meal, so I'll just nosh on a sandwich.
