Nosh

To eat small amounts of food between meals, especially snacks that are not considered to be full meals.
Origin:
From yiddish נאַשן (nashn), from middle high german naschen.
Examples:
- I'm just going to nosh on some pretzels while I work.
- We stopped at a bakery to nosh on some pastries.
- She likes to nosh on cheese and crackers in the evening.
- I don't have time for a full meal, so I'll just nosh on a sandwich.
- The party guests were noshing on a variety of appetizers and finger foods.
