- Not having a hard surface, especially a hard, flat surface made of paving stones, asphalt, or concrete.
- Not having a cover or treatment to make it smooth or even.
Origin:
Late 16th century from un- + paved.
Examples:

- I avoid taking my sports car on unpaved roads because it damages the undercarriage.
