Unseeing

Not able to see or perceive visually.
Origin:
Late 16th century; formed from the prefix un- and the adjective "seeing".
Examples:
- The unseeing eye could not distinguish the objects in front of him.
- The unseeing masses were unaware of the hidden agenda.
- The unseeing statue had no expression on its face.
- The unseeing person stumbled and fell in the dark.
- The unseeing observer missed the subtleties of the situation.
